"Wizards of Winter Christmas Lights"
Get your Christmas lights fix! This is simply amazing!!!
"This display was the work of Carson Williams of Mason, Ohio, who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels (www.lightorama.com) that control the 16,000 Christmas lights in his 2004 holiday lighting spectacular. The musical accompaniment is broadcast over a low-power radio station so that it is only audible to visitors tuned in to the correct frequency and doesn't disturb the neighbors."
DAMN!

The song in the video is "Wizards In Winter (Instrumental)" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra from their "The Lost Christmas Eve" album.

What, it only took three hours to sequence the lights? Still seems a bit over-the-top...

yeah, i picked that up from a comment. i read somewhere else that the guy said that this is not something you start thinking about in november. maybe it took him three hours to work the software and like a gazillion others to string the lights and get a main power hookup from the electric company.
sure... it's a bit much, but i just love that tune and the interpretive lights dance! :)

Yeah, as a theatrical lighting designer, it takes me around 6 hours to do a fairly simple show. 3 hours? maybe if he had everything, and i mean everything, planned out first, and the 3 hours is only for the computer programming time, and even then 3 hours is impressive to get that kind of timing down.

yes, i think the 3 hours is probably a mistake. he did plan everything out way before. he was talking about buying lights after christmas the previous year.
