What happened in Election 04?
Kristof provides a brilliant analysis of this election.

Brooks provides a counter-point to Kristof's article.

Very interesting article. I think it makes some really good points. Middle America typically has a higher priority on morals than on economics. Not saying economics isn't important in their minds. Coming from the Midwest, even though MN goes democrat, there is a very big attitude towards the East Coast/West Coast liberals as being snooty (for lack of a better term). People that feel guilty that they make tons of money... ie. not of the "working" class.

You were definitely right, I do like that article. I gave the link to my brother and we actually had a discussion about politics that didn't end up in name-calling... amazing.
I tend to see a lot of that in Wisconsin, Sam. Especially in Madison, the liberals and Democrats tend to be ex-hippies who drive Volvo, Subaru, or Honda. More environmentalist-types and solidly middle-class. We were all like, oK, I know he doesn't seem like it, but this is the candidate who best supports our views...
It's really too early to be trying to think about this. I just realized I hadn't been here in a while :)
