Politics up close and personal

Ahhh, how cool would it be to be able to listen in to some of the conversations between heads of state? Well, now you can. Bush got caught on tape recently having a candid conversation with Blair. This is fascinating stuff. If you have any inclination towards world politics this is priceless!

"Apparently not expecting an open mike to pick up his remarks, Bush told Blair: "See the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this s___ and it's over.""

Of course, it's not as simple as that - there's a reason Iran and Syria are doing this s___. If you can't fight your enemy directly (which they certainly cannot) then use a proxy.

Who cares if Bush said 'shit'? At least he pronounced it right. I find it more amusing that he was porking out and talking with his mouth full the entire time ;-)

These 'real' moments are much more fascinating though. Maybe we should have a politician's reality show.

*lol* totally!! i thought that was pretty funny too. i wonder if we ever attacked the wrong country as a result of bush issuing orders with his mouth full.

    bush: "attack ira*"
advisors: "hmmm, does he mean IRA, Iran or Iraq? fuck it... Iraq is easiest... let's do that one"

yeah, it'd be hard to find politicians to sign up for the reality show. politics thrives on secrecy and back-room dealings.

Would somebody get the catering tray away from the President, stat? He's about to sign a bill and we don't want secret sauce on this one too...
