Save life - stop eating

It has come to my attention that the only way to transgress our animalistic heritage and transcend to a higher plane of existance is by promoting a culture of life. We need to cherish and save life in all its forms. Here are some proposals I've come up with to help us all reach this new nirvana.

1. Stop eating altogether.

This one is key. The only way to prevent being hurtful to life around us is to stop eating it. I'm not just talking about animals. Surely plants are alive. We need to stop eating plants as well. Unfortunately seeds count too - just think about it... you're consuming a fertilized egg that may develop into a beatiful life form. We need to be kinder to our environment and save it. We need to stop eating.

2. Stop animals from eating each other.

Obviously if we're going to save life we need to prevent other animals from eating one another. It is cruel and inhumane the way animals die at the hands of their predators. We need to prevent animals from eating in order to save life.

3. Stop any dangerous activity involving any life form.

In order to preserve life we need to disable it from being able to endanger itself. There are many ways to achieve this and some have already been implemented. We need to continue the march to safety until all unnecessary deaths are eliminated!

4. Stop vaginal sex except for procreation.

Vaginal sex can lead to pregnancy. In case of an unwanted pregnancy an abortion is out of the question. Therefore we need to prevent pregnancy from occuring. Banning vaginal sex (except for procreation of course) is the most efficient way of preventing abortion of life.

4a. Stop sex altogether to save people from emotional harm. (optional, as it does not cause cessation of life in the vast majority of circumstances)

As we all know sex, in most circumstances, creates an emotional bond between people. Considering a large percentage of these bonds get broken and result in severe emotional hurt we need to prevent these bonds from occuring in the first place in order to prevent the potential (and some would say inevitable) harm they bring.

5. Keep people alive as long as scientifically possible.

We cannot in all good conscience allow people to cease living any sooner than is absolutely necessary. Thus, we need to create a bold initiative to create a vast number of health options to allow people to live as long as possible. Suicide and euthanasia will be stricken from the dictionary as these terms conflict with the culture of life we are trying to create.

And so you can see my fellow life form the only way to transcend is to die. We need to end all life in order to preserve life. So help me... help me help you become a better life form.

Ah yes, quantity over quality! Brilliant little blog here buddy. I just have amusing images running through my head though of people who don't know you stumbling on this blog and taking this post seriously, and either leaving you furious right-to-die messages, or praiseful religious/PETA messages.

Thanks Bistro! Nice to see you here.

Freakin' extremists... if they weren't violent I'd welcome it. Still, it would be funny.

What up Sue?! It's been a while. Thanks for the recommendation - I'll check it out. As far as Slate goes - not really addicted, but definitely checking it out every so often. I like their format and writing.

I respect PETA for their drive and consistency, even though I dislike their militancy.
