London Zoo introduces a human exhibit

"The Human Zoo hopes to demonstrate the basic nature of man and examine the impact they have on the animal Kingdom."

It's a neat idea, but it's setup wrong. If you wanted to have a human display you should... randomly snag people off the street, strip 'em, tag 'em and throw 'em indefinitely in a cage. Yeah, but that would not be nice. Zoos should be abolished.

but how would people like me see lions and elephants in the flesh?

I agree, though, the set-up for this exhibit is entirely off the mark.

true. i got a bit carried away. for some reason i don't have a problem eating an animal, but consider it completely inappropriate to lock it up and display it in a zoo. still, that doesn't mean no one should get to experience animals in the flesh.

The best you can hope for is that the animal didn't suffer when it was killed for your dinner. Being locked up however, the conditions can be atrocious, and your causing undue suffering on another living being...
