Gas tax hike?
Hopefully so. This nation has been long overdue for a gas tax hike! There is no better way to build a future with less dependence on oil. Not only that, but we'd get less pollutants in the air, less suburbia, more public transportation. A hike in gas tax would transform this nation for the better!

unfortunately, many people do not live in large towns, and the cost of introducing public transportation isn't worth it. Besides, if only the farmers with their tractors are using gas independent of the transit system, and the gas tax is high because there's no demand to lower the cost, then all produce and grocery prices could escalate.
I'm all for protecting the environment, but I don't believe raising taxes is going to do it.
